The Austrian charter and Inter Travel.Αt / Austrian Airlines / Skyros Travel.com / DMC of Skyros Island – Lefteris Trakos

We are pleased to announce that, for another year and despite the current difficulties in the Middle East region, the Austrian charter program to Skyros will continue successfully from 29/05/26 to 28/09/26 (full 4-month season).

This marks the 9th consecutive year that organized holidays for the Austrian market are being operated in cooperation with 8 hotels on Skyros Island.

We would also like to point out that in 2027, Skyros and our tourism organization will celebrate 10 consecutive years of cooperation on the Austrian charter program with the same partners.

Total arrivals from 2017 to 2025: 12,101 visitors.

Arrivals for the 2026 season will begin on 24/05/26 and are expected to end on 28/09/26.
Regarding the major celebration for the 10-year cooperation, which will take place in 2027, we will provide further information until 31/12/26.

The second charter Prague – Skyros – Prague charter flight is now just around the corner

With the cooperation of 6 hotels on Skyros Island, with Skyros Palace playing a leading and substantial role, together with the Czech tour operator Cedok (www.cedok.cz) and the local agency SkyrosTravel.com, we have successfully achieved the following:

1.Weekly flights every Monday from June 8th until October 5th, operated by Smartwings Airlines.

2.All flights to be operated with aircraft of 150 seats capacity, type Airbus 220 – 300.

3.Increased reservations and already sold holiday packages reaching approximately 80% of the total available hotel bed capacity, based on the contracts signed in September 2025.

4.Advance payments to hotel partners having already been made since April 2026, according to the agreements between Cedok and the hotels, proving that despite the current challenges, the company remains financially strong, reliable, and highly professional towards its partners.

5.Visitors arriving through the Czech charter program for 2026 are expected to reach approximately 2400.

I am confident that all tourism professionals of Skyros will work responsibly, enthusiastically, and with the well-known hospitality of our island, so that this important flow of Czech visitors will continue successfully in the years to come.

We hope that this cooperation will also complete a successful decade of presence on Skyros, just as the Austrian charter program will celebrate 10 consecutive years in 2027 — an anniversary that we will all celebrate together.

Important Note: It is extremely important that the Municipality of Skyros, together with the residents and tourism professionals of our island, to ensure not only the cleanliness of the beaches and the island in general, but also the proper operation of essential infrastructure such as water supply, sewage systems, municipal parking areas, access roads to beaches, as well as archaeological and cultural sites.

Only through the overall improvement of the visitor experience we can secure positive promotion, high visitor satisfaction and strong international reviews for Skyros.
